Birthday Trip / Cancun

Birthday Trip / Cancun

Hey guys!

I don't even know where to start for this blog post! This trip was hands down, one of the most fun vacations I have ever been on. Some of my best-friends and I spent a week in Cancun together, celebrating my birthday. We stayed at the Grand Americana Fiesta Coral Beach Resort. It wasn't all inclusive, but it was perfect for what we wanted! It was a little bit more of a quiet resort, not a party resort which was so relaxing! If any of you ever go there, when ordering on the beach, ask for Luis to be your server. My fiends and I seriously fell in love with him, he was the sweetest guy.

One of the days we decided to rent jet skis, even though we were a hesitant because they are a little expensive to rent. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. For real though, riding on a jet ski with one of your best friends in the Caribbean? It was a dream. We also decided to rent a car and go to some Cenotes one of the days.. Cenotes are natural pits or sinkholes, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. Basically just a natural swimming pool in the jungle. We went about an hour before they were closing for the day, so we had the whole place to ourselves! I HIGHLY recommend going to Cenote Kin-Ha, that was our favorite!

On the day of my birthday, we chartered a private catamaran and sailed to Isla Mujeres. We spent the day dancing on the Caribbean Sea and snorkeling with turtles. I may or may not have gotten a little sun burned, but it was so worth it. Also, if it fits in your budget I would highly recommend chartering your own catamaran and not doing one of the large group tours. They let you pick the schedule and where you want to go. Also, they let you play your own music (life changing)!!

All in all, this trip will remain one of favorites ever. I hope to return to Cancun with my besties again soon!
